So I did what many hardworking people do.

I kept going.

I worked long hours.

I accepted overtime.

I pursued more education.

I sacrificed sleep, comfort, and personal desires because I believed hard work would eventually create the life I wanted.

Yet despite all the effort, there were seasons when life felt like an endless cycle of responsibility without progress.

The bills kept coming.

The obligations kept growing.

And the freedom I dreamed about seemed further away than ever.

Over the years, I have become many things.

A CNA. An entrepreneur. A hairstylist. A chef. A mentor. A coach.

Eventually, after years of perseverance, I achieved one of my long-delayed goals and became a Registered Nurse.

But even then, I found myself asking a difficult question:

"Why am I working so hard and still not living the life I imagined?"

I wasn’t looking for a shortcut. I wasn’t looking for a handout.
